The project aims to create a "National Contact Centre for Emissions from Non-Exhaust Processes in Transport" - CENEP.

The main goal is to coordinate scientific and research activities following the creation and improving of international contacts and cooperation within ERA.

The CENEP Centre ensures the creating conditions to establish new and better international contacts in the field of friction materials for the automotive industry, focusing on their emissions and environmental friendliness. The activities of the CENEP enable the involvement of Czech specialized workplaces in the preparation and submission of international research and development (R&D) projects. In the future, these activities will contribute to increase the funding for the solution of R&D projects and the utilization of the potential of Czech R&D capacities in the area of development of environmentally friendly friction materials for the automotive industry. Other equally important activities of the Centre are providing expert consultations, organizing workshops and finding other potential partners.

The created Centre ensures the dissemination of information on the existence of project calls suitable for the given R&D area, rules for participation in these calls and will also provide additional consulting services concerning the participation of Czech entities in international projects.

The Centre further provides consulting services for foreign R&D workers in the given field in relation to the possibilities of their activity at domestic R&D institutions.

CENEP guidelines:

  1. Generation of high-quality R&D outputs for the evaluation of emissions from non-combustion processes and environmentally friendly friction materials for the automotive industry.
  2. Accelerating innovations.
  3. Internationalization of the field in Czech Republic.
